What may interact with Danazol?

Do not take this medication with any of the following:
-Cisapride
-Pimozide
-Ranolazine
This medication may also interact with the following:
-Carbamazepine
-Medications that treat or prevent blood clots, such as warfarin

What should I tell my health care provider before I take Danazol?

They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
-Breast cancer
-Heart disease
-Kidney disease
-Liver disease
-Porphyria
-Unusual vaginal bleeding
-An unusual or allergic reaction to danazol, other medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-Pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-Breast-feeding

What should I watch for while using Danazol?

Talk to your care team if you wish to become pregnant or think you might be pregnant. This medication can cause serious birth defects if taken during pregnancy. A barrier contraceptive, such as a condom or diaphragm, is recommended during treatment.
This medication can affect your menstrual cycle. You may stop having menstrual periods. These will return to normal within 2 to 3 months after you stop taking this medication.

Where should I keep my medicine?

Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F). Throw away any unused medication after the expiration date.
