What should I tell my health care provider before I take Nicotrol?
They need to know if you have any of these conditions:
-Diabetes
-Heart disease, angina, irregular heartbeat, or previous heart attack
-High blood pressure
-High thyroid levels
-Lung or breathing disease, such as asthma
-Pheochromocytoma
-Seizures or history of seizures
-Stomach ulcers, other stomach or intestine problems
-An unusual or allergic reaction to nicotine, other medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives
-Pregnant or trying to get pregnant
-Breastfeeding
What should I watch for while using Nicotrol?
Visit your care team for regular checks on your progress.
Talk to your care team about what you can do to improve your chances of quitting.
Where should I keep my medicine?
This product may have enough nicotine in it to make children and pets sick. Keep it away from children and pets.
Store at room temperature below 25 degrees C (77 degrees F). Protect from heat and light. Throw away unused medication after the expiration date. Throw away as directed on the package.
