• If Vyvanse is a new therapy for you, be very careful with driving or other activities that require mental alertness; Give your body some time to get used to the new medication.

• If the content of Vyvanse is sprinkled over water, orange juice, or yogurt - consume the mixture immediately, do not save it for later use. Also, make sure you drink/eat the entire amount to ensure you receive the full dose. 

• When the Vyvanse chewable tablet is taken with a high-fat meal, the effect of the medication lasts approximately one hour longer - Eating the same type of food/meal around the time of taking Vyvanse will reduce the risk of this. 

• If you are taking prescription or over-the-counter medication for heartburn, talk to your doctor or pharmacist about it since these medications can interact with Vyvanse. 

• Like other controlled substances, do not take Vyvanse with alcohol or recreational drugs, as combining them can lead to severe or life-threatening side effects.
